I’m literally so excited you’re here!
My hope for this newsletter is that you would leave this space having glimpsed the beauty of the true Treasure, Jesus Christ.
What will you find here?
Probably lots of flowers. I will always, always share pictures of flowers here. But more than that, I write a lot about suffering, chronic illness, miscarriage, motherhood, theology, and whatever else the Lord lays on my heart. When I’m feeling brave, I might publish some poetry.
In each newsletter, I share book, music, podcast, and article recommendations. I also share my current reading list as well as recipes, clothing, and other random things I’m loving lately.
Who even am I?
In case you didn’t already know, I’m Brittany Allen. I’m a wife to James and mama to two boys, as well as three babies in heaven. I never meant to become a writer but somehow I’ve been writing for over a decade now. I’m an author, aspiring poet, and a sometimes speaker.
My book, Lost Gifts: Miscarriage, Grief, and the God of All Comfort releases July 23rd 2025 with Lexham Press. My second book, tentatively titled Free to Weep, is set to release April 2026.
If you were to peer into my home, you might find me changing another diaper or grabbing another snack, sipping my second cup of coffee, tending to my small cut flower garden (in the summer), writing in the in-between moments of motherhood, or held up on the couch with a heating pad.
I’m often broken and needy. There will be no facades here. I work to be vulnerable for the sake of others, that they may be drawn to Christ in their suffering. That they would treasure the Good Shepherd who goes before them and hems them in.
You can find more of my work on my website.

Stay awhile?
I’d be thrilled if you decide to stick around.
