I took most of Oct-Dec off of IG last year, and it was good for me. I thought I would be so excited to get back on, but it was pretty anticlimactic. It really changed my overall habits with the app.
Brittany thank you so much for recommending Create Anyway! Appreciate you 🥹❤️ Also resonate with the IG identity crisis ... I think I am going on 3+ years of mine 😜
I've taken a couple of month long breaks--and they were so worth it! I was amazed at how much I was able to do during that month, and then I really didn't want to go back either time. I deleted the app from my phone randomly last week, and now I'm wondering if it's going to turn into a longer break. TBD.
Yes! I have done that in the past and had the same experience. I struggle because I really love the connections I’ve made there so I usually go back for that.
I totally feel you on the instagram identity crisis. I deleted the app late last year and have pretty much forgotten about it. I like to download it every now and then to watch a few funny reels, post about my newsletter or share a quick story but it no longer feels like an obligation to be there.
I loved Create Anyway as well!

Thanks for sharing! I think a break will be helpful for me too.
